Insurance Classes

There are many different schools that offer insurance classes in order to get certified to sell all types of insurance.  Classes are generally held throughout the year, and can give great instruction and training when wanting to learn more about any type of insurance including life, property, homeowners, renters, or automobile insurance.  Take your area of expertise
Things to know about insurance classes:

  • Review state specifications.  In order to get your insurance license you must take specific classes and pass certain exams which are specified by your state.  Please keep in mind that passing an insurance exam and meeting one state’s requirements does not make you a legal insurance agent in another state.
  • Multiple insurance licensing is allowed.   Different requirements are necessary in different states in order to be a legal insurance agent.  However, you can take insurance classes and exams and be registered in many states at a time.
  • Choose an environment that is conducive to your individual learning style.  Many states and insurance schools offer at-home study classes, while others require you to meet in a formal classroom.  Choose one that best fits your needs.
  • Consider the cost.  Many different schools offer the same insurance classes for very different tuition costs.  Do not overpay for the same service.  Explore your community to find the best deals on classes.  If none are offered, jump online and enroll in an electronic course.  These usually end up being cheaper and sometimes offer multiple payment options.
  • Classes are offered for all stages of insurance learning.  Classes offered include those for beginners to the insurance field, as well as veterans looking to renew their insurance license.  Be sure to enroll in the correct classes!
